Hmingi Weds David
April 11, 2011 (Monday) : One of the brightest stars of Bethlehem Corps Nl Hmingthamawii has married David Lalthazuala from Vairengte Corps. Lt.Lalhmingthamawii has finished her Officer Training and has been commissioned yesterday (i.e. April, 10, 2011) and appointed to Kanchanchera Corps, Tripura.
The wedding was auspicious, many relatives and friends as well as Salvation Army Officers attended to be witness to their holy wedding. Bethlehem Corps Songster Brigade sung a beautiful song for the newly wed, and the Bethlehem Corps Band also played a beautiful hymn. The ceremony was conducted by Maj.Zothansanga, Principal, Officer Training College.
After the ceremony, a joint reception was held at Bethlehem YP Corps Hall. Which was later followed by a Mizo traditional mass.

SAY Brigade Sport, April 9 2011
April 9, 2011 (Saturday): …..It is a fine day of spring, and also it is the time for the long awaited Bethlehem Corps SAY Brigade Sport at Bethlehem Vengthlang Field. Bethlehem Corps SAY members are divided into three brigades – Chalchhuna Brigade, Sr.Capt.Lalkaithanga Brigade, Lt.Col.Kawlkhuma Brigade, with each brigade having Office Bearers and Council Members. The brigades are then given a task to workout their financial budget within a year and are expected to make revenues in any way they can but within the jurisdiction of the Salvation Army and its law and order. They will also be competing in sports and would be played in premiere and the first competition is on Football (for men), Volleyball (for women) and Poisonball (men & women).

The opening ceremony was held by Mr Christopher K.Thanga, SAY Leader, at Bethlehem Vengthlang Field at 10:30am. The games starts with Volleyball and Sr.Capt.Lalkaithanga Brigade on the lead. Game of Football (soccer) follows with Kawlkhuma Brigade on the lead. Then follows Poisonball with Sr.Capt.lalkaithanga Brigade on the lead again.

……….A spirit of unity and a strong bond wraps around the youths of Bethlehem Corps. This day has seen the blessings of the good Lord as many un-active members pay loyalty to participate for their respective brigades. The programme ended in the evening with much more activities in the coming week i.e. April 16, 2011, Bial Sport (Area Sport). The members left for their homes from the field with a smile on their faces, laughter and for each, a happy story to tell.
